Ternio integrates with Plaid to Streamline Crypto-Friendly BlockCard Bank Accounts
Global fintech platform Ternio has integrated with Plaid, a financial data company powering thousands of digital apps and services, to bring connectivity and accessibility to Ternio BlockCard bank accounts. As a result, Ternio customers will now be able to connect outside financial accounts to their BlockCard bank accounts faster and more securely while continuing to receive exemplary customer support.
In practice, Ternio BlockCard users will now have the option to instantly authenticate their existing bank accounts to make transferring funds to their BlockCard bank accounts even easier. Rather than relying on manual verification with micro-deposits, users can now securely link their bank accounts almost instantly simply using their existing login credentials. Plaid’s technology also provides an additional layer of security from fraudulent activity.
After launching BlockCard bank accounts earlier this year, Ternio has begun allowing their US-based customer to activate the FDIC-insured accounts. Subsequently, they are adding more crypto-friendly features, recently enabling customers to buy cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin directly from their account dashboards eliminating the need for third-party exchanges. The bank accounts are a part of a larger suite of Ternio banking products aimed at furthering the adoption of digital currency payments.
“Integrating with Plaid is a big step in providing a more seamless and efficient user experience for BlockCard customers,” said Ternio Co-founder & COO, Ian Kane. “We’ve designed our platform to be incredibly user-friendly, which is especially important when you consider our ultimate goal is to bring cryptocurrency and digital payments to the mainstream. Our customers will be able to link their existing financial institution to their crypto-friendly BlockCard bank account to easily move US dollars between all of their accounts.”
Plaid’s technology powers the digital tools that millions of people rely on to improve their financial lives. Through this integration with Plaid, Ternio is continuing to strengthen the connection between traditional financial services and the cryptocurrency space, clearing a path to mass adoption. Plaid offers consumers the ability to connect financial accounts at over 11,000 institutions worldwide to over 3,000 apps like Venmo and Acorns.
“Integrating with Ternio can help streamline account connectivity and reduce fraud for crypto account holders,” said Paul Williamson, Head of Sales and Partnerships at Plaid. “Plaid’s consumer-permissioned data network will safely support account holders and the greater crypto community as it grows in users and adoption.”
